Sonet for the Sea:
An evening of Dance and Music on the brig Pilgrim
Location: At the Ocean Institute
Dockside by the brig Pilgrim
Saturday, November 18th and
Sunday, November 19th at 7:00 p.m.
Performance is free to the public

| ArchiTexture Dance Company and the Ocean Institute have teamed up to present an evening of live performance on the brig Pilgrim, featuring contemporary dance and maritime-themed music aboard the historic tall ship. The public is invited to watch dockside, as the ship is transformed into a stage for this very special event on November 18th and 19th at 7:00 p.m.
The event is free to the public, and limited seating is available overlooking the brig Pilgrim. Refreshments will be available to purchase, with all proceeds and donations benefiting the Ocean Institute's educational programs.
The length of the performance is approximately one hour, and the public is advised to dress warmly, as the concert takes place outdoors.

Early Registration for Ocean Institute Members:
Girls in Ocean Science Teen Conference |

The Ocean Institute will host its 2nd annual Girls in Ocean Science Teen Conference on February 10, 2007. They will be accepting 8th -12th grade girls to participate in this day-long conference. The goal of the conference is to inspire and excite young women to pursue degrees and careers in the sciences. |
Ten prominent female ocean scientists will interact with the girls on the Ocean Institute research vessel, R/V Sea Explorer, and in the Ocean Institute’s teaching labs. Girls will explore careers in areas such as engineering, ocean conservation, marine biology and education.
Early registration for members and volunteers begins November 27.
Limited priority registration of 40 spaces. General registration begins December 9.
